For lack of a better title.

My mind is quite fuzzy now that I again lack sleep. Nevertheless, I’m watching Wild Sex on National Geographic and thinking of how I will compose the longest blog of 2005 hehehe. A few minutes ago I was attempting to jazz up an old black tank top with red sequins. In time for Valentine’s Day? Whatever. The elephants are doing it now. After 45 minutes there’s a liter of semen and quite a messy female bottom. Apparently the bull is a young Casanova who’s trying his luck on Mrs. Robinson. Parental Guidance, people!

I have so much to write I dunno where to start. A lot has happened the last week and I’m afraid any minute now this freaking PC will shut down again. Grr. But someone has asked me to recount a moment that happened Friday night.

Amidst the coffee-scented, smoky yet well-lit bit of space outside a concrete structure in the middle of Ortigas (was it?) I was listening to George’s "Breathe In Now" on your iPod with a dirty blue sock (I hope you had washed it this weekend) and you were puffing your 3rd stick for the day (was it? - again) You see her from the corner of your eye emerging alone from the darkness and walking towards the pedestrian lane to cross the street. You probably wouldn’t remember anything as mundane as the number of shopping bags she was carrying, except for the fact that she looked lonely (or so you say). She didn’t see us looking at her but I somewhat felt the loneliness too. You say it was the result of her previous actions that made her so. But then again, we may just be imagining things. It can also be that she was then delirious with joy but chose not to show it to anyone… But the question is, are you going to do something about that?

The water buffaloes are into speed dating?! Geez.

Blue’s Clues

Thursday, December 22nd, 2005

It’s funny I’ve been watching Blue’s Clues for the last three days already hehehe. Aside from the fact that Joe looked so much like Geoff Eigenmann (oh no here I am again with my kabaduyan), I begin to appreciate these kinds of shows. After all I need to act like such when I go back to school on January 4. And I’ll see my kids again, I can’t wait!

Last night we had our annual caf get together dinner at Recipes Greenbelt. Jason went home for the holidays kasi. Wala lang, I always feel good whenever I see them, it’s like family :) Sige tama na before I get teary eyed again hehehe…

On the 11th day of Christmas…

Saturday, December 17th, 2005

Monty2 It’s been a while since I last blogged. The kids had their Christmas program last Friday and I’ve posted the pictures here. Aren’t they the most adorable creatures?! :D It’s quite obvious who’s my favorite hehehe. When Monty entered the school I think my heart skipped a beat hahaha! Heartbreaker itong batang to! *Sigh* I hope I’d have a son as handsome as him. His mom’s really pretty and apologized for not having a gift for me. The other children gave me gifts too and it really made me feel good :)

More to come about my kids, after I have my PC fixed (the RAM’s f***** up again grrr). Enjoy the pictures! :)

BicentennialI again saw one of my favorite movies of all time on Star Movies this afternoon. Android Andrew Martin never fails to make me cry. And kanina I was bawling na naman, especially during the scene where the President of the World Congress declared that Andrew Martin is the longest living human being in history and he didn’t live long enough to hear it. Portia then decided to end her life too. *Sigh* I don’t know if seeing old people in movies make me cry (another one would be the old couple embracing as they lie on the bed about to be engulfed by the waters in Titanic), or if it’s because I’ll not live up to a ripe old age or if it’s because there won’t be anyone to keep me company when I grow old, which is my biggest fear actually… And there’s another scene that made me cry - where Sir Martin was sitting quiet after the wedding reception and there was a hologram of him dancing with Little Miss. I could just imagine what it would be like at my own wedding with my dad symbolically giving me away. Just the thought of it makes tears well up in my eyes :(

Of metallic lizards

Saturday, December 10th, 2005

Today wasn’t an exception in terms of waking up. Just like any other day this week I really had a hard time. That’s why when I got home at 3pm I slept and didn’t wake up until 7pm. I haven’t even seen my Mom yet, they went to some Christmas party.

I thought there wasn’t anything good I could write about today until John texted me to say that when he showed his wife the blue lizard keychain I gave him, she said, "That’s you!" He told me that he’s really into lizards and that he once had a henna tattoo of one on his back and he didn’t know that he was allergic pala to henna and that his tattoo began to look like a really big blister shaped like a lizard. He found it even more cool than the actual tattoo hehehe :) I made him choose between three colors - royal blue, aqua blue and silver, and he wanted all three, but eventually got the aqua. I’m really glad I got the lizards instead of the keys.

Before the class started he treated me to a peppermint hot chocolate at Starbucks. It was probably the longest time I ever spoke to him. For the rest of the class we were both restless and he even said he thinks he has ADD hahaha. That guy is really funny. Too bad we won’t be classmates next term. But it was a good thing we got to be friends.

PBB Big Night na! Sana manalo si Jason para magpakain si Bes ng streetkids sa Jollibee :P Haaay Sam.. ang gwapo mo talaga… :D

Schumacher, Monty and Joshua

Tuesday, December 6th, 2005

101st post! :)

Monty and Joshua got the yellow and green phones and pretended to talk to Schumacher.

M: Hey Schumacher what’s up? Yeah really you’re in Japan! (reading a sign that says ‘Japan’ on the blackboard). Hey can I race with you? Oh my god really? That’s so cool! Haha you’re funny! So when are you coming over to the Philippines. Let’s set a meeting ok? Bye.
J: Let me call Star Sports.
M: No I’ll call Star Sports too! (and he dials) Schumacher it’s you again! Oh my god. Yeah the race? I’ll race with you ha! Ok bye.

Monty gets two panels and pretends they are his laptop. "Teacher, I’ll email Schumacher and tell him to come over here so we can race. I connected my phone na to the computer. It’s dialing come on!"

Haaay. Such darlings :) And this boy looks like Aga Muhlach. Joshua, on the other hand, was imitating whatever Monty was saying and he even cried at one point because Monty didn’t want him to sit beside him during circle time. So instead, he sat on my lap. After a few minutes Monty crept over and sat beside me haha. He even sat on my lap when Joshua went to the bathroom.

Demo teaching

Monday, December 5th, 2005

Pasaway talaga ako. I didn’t know I was supposed to be at the school at 7:45 and NOT 8:30 this morning, which I only found out after 2 classes hehehe. And I didn’t even have my essay with me. Ano ba Tere? Tapos I left the notebook pa inside the classroom. Grrr. Absentminded me. You could call it a miracle when they asked me to go back tomorrow for the same group of children. IS THIS IT?! :D

This has got to be the one of my most enjoyable days. ANG KULIT NILA MONTY AT JOSHUA! Sobrang dadaldal walang kapaguran itong mga poging batang to. It’s so funny that they know a lot about Schumacher and race cars at their age. Tishi and Bianca are very affectionate. Good thing they liked the action song I prepared for them. I should have printed pictures for my story but it was too long for their attention span.

When I left, that’s when I felt really tired. I was contemplating if I could still manage a few more hours in the gym before I went home. But I still did, I suddenly thought of all the sweets I won’t be refusing in the next few weeks hehehe :P

Ultraelectromagneticjam

Friday, December 2nd, 2005
I should be writing a draft for one of my school requirements but chose to waste precious time on nonsensical tasks like this. Yeah yeah that’s what I always do *guilty*
Here’s my take on Jam’s latest CD. Violent reactions not welcome hehehe :P I’m not an Eraserheads groupie ever since but I learned to appreciate their music even more with this album. I have to admit that I don’t recognize some of the songs but they were nevertheless beautifully executed. My absolute favorite? Rico J’s take on "Ang Huling El Bimbo". ASTEEG!!!
I feel a little embarrassed to admit that I liked MYMP’s version of "Huwag Mo Nang Itanong". Again I read some comments on a blog post that this band’s got no real talent and are just making money out of other artists’ masterpieces. These so-called critics did approve of the new arrangement but it all the more proved daw of Juris and Chin’s lack of talent, so to speak. Well, to each his own, I guess. I liked it, and I’ve been singing to it this morning. Who cares if my neighbor didn’t like it one bit?! Then buy Cueshe’s album instead (ulk).
And on to Cueshe’s rendition of "Hard to Believe". I have yet to hear the original version then I’ll make my verdict. Funny yung mga comments in one blog where a lot of people were bashing them na puro pa-cute lang daw alam nila at namurder pa nila yung song. Feeling rock band daw pero show band naman talaga. Ridiculous and maarte name for a band that’s prone to ridicule (Cueshit) hahaha. Totoo naman.
Kitchie Nadal’s rendition of "Ligaya" was cute enough. Eh sa hindi naman ako super rocker not to appreciate it. If Bianca hadn’t told me about her supposedly primadonna attitude, I might have considered buying her album (pirated or otherwise). May dating naman sya, eh. Hindi naman sa puro hangin lang ang kanta nya. Although it’s an obvious way of masking her little inadequacies in the vocal department. Songwriting skills siguro panalo. But otherwise? So-so. "Ilang ahit pa ba ang aahitin, o giliw ko?" Nairita yung iba nung tumawa pa si Kitchie but I find it appropriate enough. Eh ano pa nga ba? :)
I thought Brownman Revival sang the original for "Maling Akala". No wonder there’s a bit of Ely’s voice I heard. It was a good one din. "Pare Ko" by Spongecola? Pwede na, at feel na feel ang chorus ha! May pagkamaarte ang pagkanta tho. "Para sa Masa" is a good one too. Orange and Lemons’ "Huwag Kang Matakot" sounded so much like the new Sunsilk jingle. Distinct ang sound nila but it’s not something na hahanap-hanapin ko. I forgot how the E-heads sang "Spoliarium" but Imago’s rendition was good. This band is something ha. Aia’s voice has been described as "ethereal". Naks. I have to agree, Kulasa yan! :) If my voice could be described as such, winner chick na talaga ako hahahaha.
This album has a few bad apples rin naman. Number one on my list: Paolo Santos’ "Magasin". I’m sorry pero hindi nito matutulungan ang flailing career ni Paolo Santos. Can I just say hindi talaga bagay?! HINDI TALAGA! The idea pa lang that Paolo would execute that kind of song, walang wala na talaga. Next, Southborder’s "With a Smile". Siguro kasi I don’t like the song. It’s too cheesy for men to sing! Di ko talaga feel. Bakit ang "Pare Ko" halos same sentiments but I liked it.  But I’m not saying Southborder is bad. They’re good. Minsan. Everytime I see Duncan lang I have visions of this skinny kid dancing alongside Gary V. Would you actually think he’d be a real star in his own right?
Wow ang haba na pala nito. And what do you know, my cramps are gone! I can now sleep.. er… start on my critique paper pala. Tere, lift up that ass of yours up to the 3rd floor!

*groan*

A lot of things to groan about today. (1) First day of my monthly visit. I feel really weak. I just want to lie down in this green couch in the library and sleep the afternoon off. I feel bloated, nauseated, I feel FAT!!! (2) My teacher remarked that I seemed to be gaining weight *sob sob* I know I’m guilty of this. I’ve been eating like there’s no tomorrow. And it’s all because of the hormones. That’s it. Yeah right blame the hormones nu-ni-nu-ni-nu… Kasi nagbirthday mom and lola ko eh. And this event at the Pen. And another pamatay na month in terms of dieting is December. Waaaah! Next week I will go back to my thrice-a-week regimen and eating 2x a day. I hope I can manage. (3) I smell like the cafeteria. This is absolutely my hatest smell! I should’ve brought an extra shirt. Bad trip na ko buong araw nito :( grrr… (4) School workload. I have a paper to write (plus prepare a presentation), a book report, a child study presentation which I haven’t even started on yet. Sigh. And I plan to sleep pa naman until my make up class at 3. (5) The makeup class later. I could have gone home and continued watching Roman Holiday but noooo… the teacher had to beg us to come to class this afternoon. So that means I’ll be staying at school for 10 hours on a Saturday! *GROAN!*

MiG MiG MiG at the MTV HIV summit

Friday, December 2nd, 2005

1020203_imgSorry but this the closest we’ve gone to capture MiG. We were in line (albeit too magulo to be called such) for taking pictures with him when the organizers whisked him away to the backstage again. He looks really mabait, walang star complex. Sayang he didn’t rip his shirt hehehe. Thanks Bianx really for dragging me last night. Sorry the pictures with him on stage were too dark… can Photoshop do something about it? :)

For trying to catch MiG, nakalimutan ko Bamboo was on stage hehehe. Before MiG was Urban Dub (I dunno if I heard it right) and they were also good. Astig yung girl bassist!!! If only I was allowed to have a drum set before, I’m sure nasa band na ko ngayon (naks!). Before them was Parokya I think. Ang kulit ni CHito sobra!!! Crush ko talaga si Buwi :D He resembles my crush from college si Miguel Herrera mwahahaha! (May nakakaalala pa kaya sa kanya?) We weren’t able to catch Kitchie (we were looking for a parking space), but was able to watch Aia of Imago. Kulasa nga pala yun. Astig ha. Newfound respect for Pinoy bands. Ang gagaling nila lahat, nagenjoy ako. Sayang di namin naabutan Itchyworms. Naku Bianx kung nakita ka ni Jugs ano gagawin mo? :P
