Quarter Life Musings

For the next 2 1/2 months or so, I will be denied of a social life. Aside from my 9 units this term, I will also have to study for this August’s LET. Add to that the mounting anxiety over my EdStat class and I’m all good *insert sarcasm here*! Sigh. Absolutely no time to make muni-muni or rant about my non-existent love life. Which is good, actually.

Used Teacher Gila’s LET reviewer last weekend and what can I say, I got 105/200 without studying for anything yet! Naks yabang hahaha. Pagbigyan nyo na ko eto naman Anyway, I just wanted to share that the very confusing and sometimes nonsensical questions in the book somewhat gave me an inkling as to how f*cked up the local educational system is. There was a question that went: The teacher should __________ the pupil who has told her a lie. A) tell him that he cannot be believed at all; B) ignore his lie completely; C) learn why the child told a lie, and understand him on that basis; D) compel him to say he lied; E) punish him but make no issue of it. Punyemas, item construction lang hindi pa gawing matino! At mga licensed teachers ang author nung reviewer ha. Sheesh! The answer was quite obvious I know, pero naman, sige try using any one of the answers to complete the sentence. NAMAN!!!!! No wonder public school graduates don’t get decent jobs nowadays.

I have two papers to write for Saturday and I haven’t started anything. Waaah! And work is a lot stressful now that I’m handling younger kids. 2 year old children are no joke! They’re like Rogue, just sucking the life out of you. Thank God they’re cute and I’m a lot more patient nowadays…

Superman Returns is about to be shown and I dunno how to figure it into my very busy schedule. Naks kala mo exec! Basta kahit na walang social life, love life, IMAX is the way to go!

It’s the Creative Zen Vision:M, otherwise known as the iPod killer. Just go to Creative’s website to know more about this baby. Might as well read its reviews on Amazon to understand why it is regarded as so. My love affair with this pogi contraption started just last Monday, May 29. And it probably is the best thing that I have come across in a very long time! Being the audiophile that I am, I take him around wherever I go, even when I brush my teeth hahaha! The first time I used it, with just 2 hours of charging, I was able to watch 3 episodes of House MD Season 2 (approximately 45 mins each) and was listening to mp3s the whole day and it only conked out after 9-10 hours I think? There was a day that I had to charge it twice. TODO NA TO! Hahaha. Right now I’ve over 1300 mp3s loaded and I have several more CDs to work on. We’re on vacation at work, so you just have to understand that I’m just stuck here at home. It didn’t matter that I’m currently low on my finances but since I have my baby to keep me company whatever time of day, it’s all good

I’m still salivating on another baby, the Nike Merge watch (check out their website). I’m confused if I’ll get the Ice/Lemon Frost Merge Uplift or the Sail/Mint Merge Attract. Just the same they’re really gorgeous but I’ve already maxed out my credit card!!! Well at least for the SIP. Better get a hold of myself until Christmas… or September.. LOL… Maybe when I pass the LET? I see myself sticking to my P25 a day budget for the next 6 months yikes…
